Hi All
Yesterday evening my wife told me of a big insect on the lawn.
When I looked it was a shrew - a small fellow 7 - 8 cms long
but very active but didn't cover the ground very quickly. My best guess is pygmy shrew Microsorex hoyi.
Not something I see very often but perhaps are more common than say grey squirrels!
Enjoy the summer
Paul
