I checked the = Temperance St school chimney last night (Aug 12) and counted 54 Chimney = Swifts entering the chimney between 8:43-8:45. My last check on Aug 8 = was 171 birds so the show will soon be over here in New Glasgow for = another year. Once again someone arrived too late last night to observe, = so if coming arrive bit earlier.=20 Congratulations and thanks to Helene and crew at Cobequid Wildlife Rehab = Centre on getting 3 force-orphaned Chimney Swifts rehab'd enough to send = off to Hudson Quebec so they could be released with the more = late-leaving swifts from that city once the birds are raised enough to = join up with the group there.
