On the Maritime Noon phone-in today one of the questions for guest Bob =
Bancroft was on the occurrence of a Mayfly (Hexagenia ) in NS. The =
description was similar to a Mayfly I saw last week in Tantallon.=20

Is this the species Bob was referring to? It was quite large as Mayflies =
go but perhaps smaller than the ones Bob described unless the tails are =
included. I have seen them occasionally on the South Shore though never =
in large hatches like some of the smaller Mayflies.
