Hi all:
=20
I've just had an interesting report of herring gulls eating apples. As fol=
lows:
=20
"We just got back from a few days at a motel in Fundy National Park . We w=
ere sitting watching golfers at the last green on the lovely course at A=
lma . There is an apple tree there and about nine apples were on the groun=
d . Over just a few minutes we watched six Herring Gulls fly in and land =
beside the apples . They all systematically skewered each apple into smal=
ler pieces and then ate them --- all ! Not a scrap of apple was left . "
=20
I've personally not witnessed this before. I therefore would be interested=
in hearing from anyone who has seen this. =20
