When I went to the car after work today there was an interesting insect per=
ched there that I've never seen before.  It was about one quarter inches an=
d looked somewhat like a horsefly=2C but thinner.  It was all black=2C but =
the interesting part was on the abdomen=2C which was long in comparison to =
the body and head there were five white stripes along the edge.  The stripe=
s were quite broad.  If anyone has any ideas on the Id I would be most inte=
rested.  It was definitely not a wasp or bee=2C but some other type of inse=
ct.  I did not have my camera to take a pic unfortunately. =20
