Dear All, Sept 12, 2014
At about the time the subject of bird's nests came up on Naturens I cut
a small Fir (15-20' tall but topped some years previously so with only a
dense cluster of branches near the stub end) in North Alton on Sept 9 and
noticed a bird's nest well hidden from above by the cluster of overlapping
branches near the top.
View of underside; white birch bark strips prominent--

View of upper side after bending Fir twigs out of the way; mostly grass or
sedge culms

Can anyone take a stab at ID ?
