The Nova Scotia Bird Society begins its regular monthly meetings after =
the Summer break on Thursday, September 25th at 7:30 at the Nova Scotia =
Museum of Natural History, 1747 Summer Street, Halifax.

We are very pleased to welcome John Paterson as he talks about his =
experiences with Seabirds, especially Albatrosses in Namibia. A Cape =
Town, South Africa native, John has always been involved heavily with =
the environment, as park ranger, warden and project manager for BirdLife =
International's Albatross Task Force team in Namibia. Much of the work =
with the ATF was to reduce by-catch and produce best practices =
guidelines for use within the ministry of fisheries. John will be =
showing many of his spectacular photos from Africa and show some of the =
things that are being done to protect these oceanic birds.=20

The talk is open to the public, as always, and refreshments will follow =
the talk.=20

David Currie
