Pleasant Hill Friday October 10, 2014 Update.

Today the newest arrival of the fall a Red-tailed Hawk.

It was enjoying sunning himself until the crows discovered him.

A couple a local ravens also joined in on the mobbing.

These are the same ravens that are mobbed daily by the local crows.

One would think they would of had some sympathy for the Red-tail instead.

This is day 4 for the Lark Sparrow, this Lark Sparrow is very easy to see and photograph.

So far everyone that has tried for this bird has gotten him.

Highlights from the week include:

1 Gray-cheeked Thrush
1 Eastern Towhee
80 Pine Siskins
1 Baltimore Oriole - our third for the fall.
1 Gray Catbird - Catbirds have been present all fall but declining almost geometrically from 8, to 4 to 2 to 1. I enjoy the mathematical beauty to their decline.
1 Lark Sparrow - our third for the fall and as of today present for 4 days.
1 Red-tailed Hawk
2 House Wrens
11 Northern Cardinals
