Thanks for this.
The consumer usually has no way to vote for what they want (such as
watermelon with seeds and flavor as opposed to seedless-flavorless
watermelon) but can readily vote for what they don't want by not buying it.
I am inclined to give primary industry the benefit of doubt because
wealth generated in this way pays all of our bills but the farmed salmon
industry here seems, so far as I am aware, to have consistently failed on
all counts.
