There were 3 Long-billed Dowitchers at the Amherst Point Bird Sanctuary,
yesterday, October 28. They were feeding on the edge of the marsh near the
bridge just below the old growth hemlock stand. They were in non-breeding
plumage. The call notes while feeding and flying were distinctively
Long-billed Dowitcher.
