Hi:

* If someone could please post this to NS-RBA I would appreciate it very mu=
ch - thanks *

The Eurasian Kestrel was seen by many birders near the corner of Caldwell R=
oad and Shore Road at 12:00 and then shortly after 13:00 today. It was als=
o seen on the golf course between those times. There was word that it was =
also seen at the corner at first light (07:30).=20

There is a small crushed rock parking area near this corner (on the water s=
ide) where birders had gathered and the bird was hunting in the field below=
 the ridge that you see if you look northeast from the lot.=20

It is Fulton's opinion that the bird is traveling back and forth along this=
 ridge extending from Caldwell Road to the Point.

It's hard to tell if one's luck is increased by chasing the bird or by stak=
ing it out - certainly those who had staked out that corner had very good v=
iews. Thermal gear is recommended if that's your strategy.

There was a journalist present at the corner taping footage this morning an=
d he said that they would be running a story on the Global 6:00 o'clock new=
s.=20

Best of luck!

Lynn
