Very rarely. There are many more easily obtained and perfectly suitable spe=
cies to be found in North America and kestrels are not the best for catchin=
g prey much bigger than a sparrow. I don't believe anyone in NS or PEI flie=
s one, and I'm not aware of any even remotely near here.=20
Always good to consider provenance, but this bird has no band or gear, is n=
ot a species at all common in captivity in North America and there is an es=
tablished pattern of vagrancy to NA so I think we're pretty safe in calling=
it wild.=20
