Purple Sandpipers are a rare sight in Pubnico. Ellis d'Entremont found a gr=
oup of 28 on the rock breakwater near the wharf at the end of Le Chemin du =
Rocher in Pubnico=2C Yarmouth County. I know that they spend the winters on=
the nearby islands but had never seen them near the mainland.
