Then when I got home, there was a very nice new-for -the -yard bird - a bright Red-bellied woodpecker on the bird pie. At the same time there were a Flicker, 3 M and a F Cardinal and several blue jays, W-thr sparrows and our Chipping sparrow population has doubled from 1 to. 2. With the sun shining on the snow, the trees and the birds, it was a pretty sight.
