One of the Cardinal males is singing away, in the sunshine, just now, in my backyard here on Glenwood Avenue. This is the 1st day that I have heard them sing, this year! Though here everyday, throughout the year, they remain silent this fall & winter, except for a whistley, short 'swip'! I have noticed that the females have been chasing each other around these last couple of days.

Sincerely,

Gayle MacLean
Dartmouth
