Here are the year-to-date leading single-point hotspots at the end of
February. Single-point hotspot birding is the type of checklists that eBird
encourages because it produces better more helpful data. But eBird does not
yet rank them so until they do I try to do it for NS. Single-point hotpots
are hotspots where the vast majority of birding is done in one walking or
stationary sessions. No car birding incorporating multiple spots, no general
area hotspots and no hotspots that include banding stations. 

 

"Gained" is the number of new species the hotspot picked up in the last
month.
