Little did we know that it would clear and get = very warm, very spring-like, and a wonderful day to be out. And many = businesses were closed, on account of Good Friday, so that we had a = difficult time finding a place for coffee and a muffin. >=20 > First nest checked was at Nova Drive in western New Minas. It is = difficult to see into this eagle nest, but, from the eastern edge of the = pavement, we could see the top of the head of an adult bald eagle, = apparently incubating (I told Pat they normally lay 1 to 3 eggs, and can = raise up to 3 youngsters per nest). >=20 > Then we drove first to Canning, where we did a walk and checked the = raven nest in the lone pine between Wilma Gibson=92s and Glenys Gibson=92s= homes =97 no ravens seen. >=20 > Next we drove to Scots=92 Bay, to the Huntley Road bald eagle nest = east of the community centre/fire hall. In the nest we could easily see = the head of an apparently incubating adult eagle. When we arrived two = adult bald eagles flew past the nest together, from south to north, and = then we saw an immature bald eagle fly by in the opposite direction. >=20 > Finally we got our coffee etc. in a cafe in Wolfville.
