I was over to look at the river today and it is frozen solid and still sitting under a lot of snow. In fact, even Lake Pesaquid. which usually opens up first is still solid with the only open water right by the causeway. On Friday I drove by the Herbert River where we normally take out at the bridge in Brooklyn. That section is tidal and even that is still all in one piece with just some cracks along the shoreline from the underlying water going up and down. As I have no idea when the river may be open, I'm going to cancel it, as I have a busy schedule later this month and for most of May. Hopefully we can try again in the fall (and hope we don't have an early winter!)
