Woodcock were on my mind this afternoon after spotting 3 beside the =
parking lot while making a delivery to Highliner in Lunenburg. After =
finishing work and dropping my truck off in Martin's Point I made a =
quick run through Indian Point/Oakland and saw 4 more. Likely some of =
the same ones seen there by Anne Mills. Next I returned to Highliner and =
saw a Sharpie but no birds on my first pass. I was eventually able to =
find 5 Woodcock at that location. From there I took the 332 towards =
home. A slow drive along the shoulder from the back harbour to the top =
of the hill (about 800 metres) produced an additional 22 Woodcock. =
Yesterday I saw only 2 despite biking that same hill 3 times as well as =
spending 1 1/2 hours there trying to get good photos.=20
