My husband saw a male Rusty Blackbird on Thurs., Apr. 16 in our
backyard. It must have been just passing through, as we have not seen
it since. It has been reported on eBird. First male Purple Finch
arrived today. We also have at least 3 Fox Sparrows, a few Br.-headed
Cowbirds and Red-winged Blackbirds. Expanding patches of bare ground
are making the Robins happy - we've been feeding them frozen
blueberries, raisins, apples, peanut butter suet, hulled sunflower seeds
and even a few mealworms. We had an Am. Woodcock on Apr. 11 and 12.
