The Turkey Vultures are back in the Round Hill area. I can't say for sure that they haven't been back for awhile already, but yesterday was my first day seeing them over Bishop Park when I was on my way home from Annapolis Royal. In summer, they are almost always present, drifting above Route 201 between Marsh Road and Round Hill Lane. and up over the meanders at the outlet of Round Hill Brook. I've always thought they are probably attracted to the large turkey and chicken operation located in that area.

Our resident flicker experimented with enlarging a Hairy cavity, even though it has a perfectly fine flicker hole about 10 m away.
