Subject: [NatureNS] CBC Radio - Friday

Friday May 1st with guest host Anthony Germain CBC Radio

It's been a brutal winter and challenging spring for migratory songbirds. T=
he lingering snow cover has left birds struggling to find food. And many ar=
e arriving in Nova Scotia now close to death and too weak to fly. Hear from=
Canadian scientists who study the threats that songbirds are facing, from =
climate change and habitat loss to modern farming practices and new predato=
rs. Also, film director Su Rynard, whose documentary "The Messenger" premie=
res at Hot Docs this week, explores what it could mean =E2=80=94 at both an=
environmental, and human level =E2=80=94 if songbirds are lost.
