There were tree swallows here in the area, in high numbers but they were =
running into major trouble, Jim. Outside Liverpool, both on the no# and =
up along off route 8 and at the Potanoc Street bridge in Milton, they =
were frantically feeding right at the bridges and at bumper level. They =
were crashing into cars. I drove right into them myself before I =
realized what was happening. The crows are there cleaning up. Right now =
there are a couple out here in White Point that appear to be so =
exhausted they cannot feed although there are flying bodies about. Of =
course they might not eat what is offered. Tuesday evening was heart =
breaking. Wednesday there were some feeding over the Mersey off route 8 =
out of the wind.=20
