They are more visible than warblers, but I wonder if the same fate is befalling our early returning warblers, such as Palm and Yellow-rumped. I walked in the Lower Prospect area today and heard only Song Sparrows and a few (very few) robins. No warblers, and not a single Fox Sparrow, which used to breed in the area. Silent spring, indeed.
