We walked the trail at Miner's Marsh, Kentville, starting about 7 p.m.
Saw the 4 D.C. Cormorants Jim mentioned, and for the first time actually
saw the double crests (took pictures)! There were quite a few swallows
flying about at first, at least 3 Barn Swallows but mostly Trees. We
saw a female Belted KIngfisher, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, tons of Red-winged
Blackbirds, 3 Mallards, a Bald Eagle, Crows and Starlings, heard a Gr.
Yellowlegs, a N. Flicker, a Song Sparrow, a Wh.thr. Sparrow, a B.C.
Chickadee. Saw Muskrats, and a turtle (unknown). Lovely walk. Watched
the huge full (?) moon rise on the way home.
