Subject: [NatureNS] an early beetle ID?

This beetle was crawling in the leaves next to a snowdrift on Monday. It has a nicely patterned back and interesting antennae. Not at all sure of my ID?

The only other beetles I have seen outside so far this year are the ever present Diurnal Fireflies (Ellychnia corrusca).

Thanks for any help, Nancy
