Hi All,
There was again very little evidence of nocturnal migration during the last
week of April. During this period, I set up a microphone in the exact
location where one was stationed in the spring of 2013. This station is
located at Glasgow Head, about 90 meters from the shoreline. The table below
shows the number of night flight calls recorded during the five-day period,
April 25-29. The comparison indicates that in 2013 there were not a lot but
more night flight calls than in 2015 and a better representation of the
migrants normally to be expected during that week.
