Haven't seen any barn swallows and only a half dozen tree swallows over a
week ago, but none since, Marg. Birds in general seem scarce other than a
few purple finches and A. goldfinches. Lots of deer though and they have
eaten everything that has sprouted so far including crocus, daylilies,
pulmonaria, fritillaria meleagris and are just awaiting the hostas. So
discouraging that they destroy everything in sight before the plants can get
a chance to bloom. Too bad they leave the dandelions and other weeds alone!
