Hi, Eric.
Didn't stay out late enough on Saturday to try for Woodcock. But on May =
2nd Pat McKay and I made a first attempt at my owl survey route in the =
Earltown area - as feared, the road was still snow-covered. But we =
heard lots of Woodcock, whirring away overhead and peenting.

Subject: [NatureNS] Woodcock on NS Migration Count
I am just in (at 10pm) from more than an hour listening for =
Woodcock=E2=80=8E in their usual places on Brier Island. Not a bird to =
be heard.
I fear that this spring's terrible weather when they arrived was a =
disaster, as we feared.
Has anyone else searched for Woodcock and what were the results?
Eric
