Few birds in Advocate this weekend. Of note:
100+ savannah sparrows on Back St. ...tried hard to make a couple something note-worthy but no luck
lots of yellow rumps singing
few palm warblers
first hermit thrushes of the year for me
several tree swallow and a couple barn swallows
4-6 turkey vultures
30 black scoters in the harbor and a few more at West Advocate
lots of coyote sign and large one in the woods this morning
spring peepers and wood frogs heard last night
kestrel, kingfishers and merlin all sharing the power lines near fire hall in Five Islands
greater yellow legs in marsh at Spencers Island
pair bluewing teal Apple River marsh

all in all a beautiful weekend with close to 50 spp seen.....maybe spring has actually sprung afterall
