R-b Grosbeak arrived in Avonport, May 13 (WED), 1 male, 2 females =
observed, also same day in Avonport, observed Chipping Sparrow and =
enjoyed hearing the first spring song of Blue-headed Vireo. The sound =
of the Ovenbird proceeded these by two days. So far no Hummingbird, and =
only one warbler species: the Yellow-rumped (Myrtle) Warbler.

Haven't done much posting to NatureNS lately, but I do frequently tune =
in silently keeping up on the activity others are reporting and do =
appreciate the reports others share. I do keep records of first leafage =
/ blossom sequences in my part of Avonport (Horton Bluff), as well as =
first of season bird / animal activity. =20

Still actively paying attention to the night sky and Space Station =
events. Have really been enjoying an early stage of night sky =
photography and am fascinated by the detailed quality the newer SLR =
digital cameras can capture in just a few seconds af being opened to a =
clear, dark sky!!
