Hi Peter,
There was some discussion of this here on NatureNS from ~9-13 April this ye=
ar =97 I=92ll copy part of it below. Bev, Eleanor, myself and now you (at=
least) never see our posts come back, so don=92t know whether they have go=
ne through successfully or not. Eleanor asked Doug Linzey the Administrato=
r about this and he couldn=92t find anything wrong, and the posts do indeed=
go through, so none of us knows why this happens for us and (apparently) n=
ot for most others who seem not to have this problem, or at least are not c=
ommenting or complaining.
A couple of work-arounds have been suggested like unsubscribing-resubsc=
ribing but haven=92t made any difference for me. All of us presumably hav=
e a copy of such sent messages in our Sent mailboxes, but I like to see a c=
opy in my InBox next to other posts and possible replies. I get this to wo=
rk simply by Bcc-ing myself on each message, but this of course provides no=
information at all as to whether the post actually went through.
So far, no technical common denominator has emerged by accident, and we=
haven=92t pursued this among ourselves carefully*, so it remains an irrita=
tion of unknown origin. I used to get my own posts back a year or so or a=
go, so something must have changed somewhere since then.
Steve (Halifax)
*e.g. do we all use the same mail program, or same antivirus software, same=
computer type, etc ?

Yes Steve - to my original report (see below). I did as Doug suggested and =
at least my posts appeared again - though I still didn't get them in my Inb=
ox - and I got no further than this. I have decided to follow the simple su=
ggestion made by one of the members, who claims it works well - to simply B=
cc myself every time I send a message to NatureNS!

Hi Eleanor,
I don't know what's going on. There have been no bounces from your e-mail a=
ddress, and I can confirm that you are properly subscribed. Have any of you=
r recent posts appeared?
The only thing I can suggest at this point is that you unsubscribe and resu=
bscribe & see if that makes a difference.
