Miners Marsh (Kentville) and Kentville Ravine.

I always enjoy reading the birding reports from these locations. I had the opportunity to go there on the evening of May 15th. I was intrigued by the warbler reports out of Miner’s Marsh lately. Arriving in mid-afternoon I expected the activity to be low. I was pleasantly surprised by how active the entire marsh was. Highlights include a Wilson’s Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler and two Sora. After the marsh I went to Kentville Ravine. I saw my first Red-eyed Vireo of the year, a possible Least Flycatcher (awaiting ID) and absolutely loud Barred Owl. Great to hear the owl! Check out the attached E-bird reports. They contain photography. Enjoy.
