"sans-serif";color:black'>Over the winter white-throated sparrow
Today (Monday) is the first day I have heard White-Throated Sparrows singing in the various Xmas tree farms and clearcuts along the Lakeview Rd, nr E Dalhousie, Kings Co where I have always encountered lots of them. So here, at least, they seem to be just arriving.

Also heard my first N Waterthrush along the river in the same area today. They are definitely much later than usual, by about 2 weeks.

On my route numbers of white-throated sparrows were very low. Overall from everyone else who participated numbers were way down. I've had some emails also from people about why no white-throated sparrows are being seen. In my travels out birding I've noticed few of these birds about. What is the concensus across the province on this. I would be most interested to see if this species has gone to other counties in numbers for nesting denoting the reason for few about in Lunenburg County or if this might be a province wide trend.
