I probably haven't spent enough time in wet areas in summer to have a good =
idea of how many Canada Warblers breed in Yarmouth County. I know of one in=
Argyle Head and I just found another in Tusket. I'm doing a Forested Wetla=
nd Bird Survey for the Department of Natural Resources=2C so I'm spending m=
ore time in swamps than before.

The latest Maritime Breeding Bird Survey shows fewer Canada Warblers in s.w=
. Nova Scotia as compared to the eastern half of the mainland. I'm also int=
erested in Northern Waterthrushes. The Breeding Bird Survey shows very few =
in s.w. Nova Scotia. I'm determined to find one singing this summer.

Anyone else have any experience with these birds during breeding season in =
Yarmouth/Shelburne Counties?
