The big (35mm) reddish Orthosoma brunneum - Brown Prionids are showing up now:

An impressive beetle worth keeping an eye out for. This one was at the lights early this morning and looks like it may have been in a fight. During the day they seem to remain stationary on the side of the camp or shed, getting partially under a shingle if possible. But they are never very well hidden.
