How large were the eggs and the nest? Spotted Sandpiper eggs and Willet egg=
s look similar. The size would be a good indication weather it was a larger=
 shorebird or a smaller shorebird. Did you take a photo with anything for s=
cale ? Or did you notice the size of the bird when it was flushed from the =
nest?

We visited Trinity Cove (SW St. Paul Island) for the 3rd time in ~10 years.=
=C2=A0 I observed two nests in both thick dry and green grass of a sandpipe=
ry bird near cliffy shore.=C2=A0 Can you identify this bird from the attach=
ed macro photo of its eggs? Birds departing both nests were largely silent =
