Today, we sited two monarchs at our milkweed field. One is the faded female that has been around for over a week. We now have a birghter colored male and at one point they were attached. So we expect more egg laying.

So far we have collected over 40 eggs that have been deposited on small milkweed plants over the last week. Many of the eggs are now larvae, as they continue on the progression to pupation.

We have several fritillaries that are frequently pestering the Monarchs.

The BNS is haveing a field trip here on Saturday at 10am and I hope the rain holds off.
