Out on the Bay yesterday, the only sightings of note were Harbour
Porpoises with a greater number than usual. Typically we would see three or four of
which one might be a juvenile but yesterday there were about 10 in two
groups including three very small ones that I suspect were this years births.
On the other hand the fishing was terrible with very few fish where we
usually get good catches of cod and pollock.
On the home front we have so many baby humming birds that I am constantly
refilling the feeder. After I take it for refill they hover by the bracket
in the back yard and often perch waiting for it to come back. Very cute.
