The meeting will be held in Roo= m BAC241 of the Beveridge Arts Centre, Acadia University, Wolfville. The me= eting is open to the public. The main presentation will be: Raptor Identification by Richard Stern Richard is a "Come from Away" but settled in the Kentville area in 1981, or= iginally from Liverpool, England, via London, Bristol, St. Anthony NF, Goos= e Bay and Halifax NS. He is a physician - internal medicine specialist but = now semi-retired and no longer dealing with crises in the middle of the nig= ht etc. He has been a birder and photographer since before coming to Canada= , and has been an active member of various organizations, including past pr= esident of the NSBS and BNS. Over the years he has become less of a twitche= r and more of a photographer, and is always pleased to have a photo or two = included in the BNS calendar. He currently writes the section on raptors fo= r the NSBS newsletter. He lives north of Kentville with his wife, dog, cat,= ducks and hens, and various children and grandchildren who come and go. He= re's an unashamed plug - one son owns a well known and excellent crepe and = pizza restaurant in Wolfville.
