Hi All
</div>
<div>
Saturday morning I was at the stone laying ceremony in Keji.
</div>
<div>
And a very nice ceremony it was.
</div>
<div>
After I went to Merrymakedge to one of my favorite spots to
</div>
<div>
look out over the lake. After a bit two Loons came swimming by -
</div>
<div>
half way out to Peters Point. I put the Binos on them and spotted a brown object
</div>
<div>
on the back of one of them. My guess was a young chick but that was only
</div>
<div>
a maybe. They soon dove and I couldn't spot them again.
</div>
<div>
Young Loon chicks are not unusual at this time of year - I've seen them
</div>
<div>
many years - the problem is to know if they get to fly and survive. I know
</div>
<div>
lots of folks who will have the answer but one thing I've learned over the years
</div>
<div>
be wary of folks with all the answers. So its hard to predict the chicks future!
</div>
<div>
Enjoy the last of summer
</div>

Paul
