<span style="font-size: 12pt;">This afternoon I visited the new District of Lunenburg<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">park on Church Lake. It is at 311 Newburne Road in Cornwall.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Trudy Payne organized the effort and she has done a lovely job.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The park is simply a parking area with a wharf out into the lake.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">One could launch a kayak, a canoe, or a small boat. It would be hard<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">to get a bigger boat out of the lake.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Of to the right is a swamp with a small stream flowing in. There is enough water<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">to paddle up the stream but the entrance is very narrow and would require<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">a narrow craft but the swamp is a great place for flowers in the summer. <br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">There is a lot of dead hartmatack poles - makes it look like a group of seven<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">painting. The wharf is wheel chair accessable and a fine spot for water lilies<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">but the water is shallow and not a great spot to swim.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">A great effort on Trudy's part - every lake in the province should have a similar park.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">A little piece up the road is Indian Falls Park - another little gem.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Enjoy the coming of fall.<br/></span>
