Down here on Wyman Road, south of Yarmouth, about 12:30 today, I disturbed a
mourning cloak. It's getting late .

Reminded me of March 22, 1977, a mild first full day of spring, when the
same thing happened. The next day, we had quite a blizzard. I had to catch
a plane to London that night, and the train got me to Halifax.

Times do change.

Subject: [NatureNS] Monarch, Port Williams, NS

With the warm temperatures today, we were out looking for some late season
leps, and were surprised to see (and photograph) one Monarch in the field
adjacent to the bridge in Port Williams.

There were also 5 Clouded Sulphurs, some tattered, others still looking in
fairly good shape.

Devin Johnstone,
Kentville, NS
