Hi Jim & All, Nov 27, 2015
I suspect those late shedding Milkweed seeds have the potential for =
relatively long distance travel by being shed after there is snow and =
especially a crust of snow. Have never seen this happening but have =
never been in Milkweed country after snow has arrived.
Yt, DW, Kentville

    NOV. 27, 2015 - lovely sunny & warm (18 C. or higher) & windy day =
for a noon walk at Miner=92s Marsh in Kentville. Not much reportable =
from me: 4 hooded mergansers together (females or immatures), and just a =
single male mallard (where are the others? in corn fields recently =
cut??).

Near the entrance I took a bit of time to liberate numerous gorgeous =
common milkweed seeds that were still pent up in the pods at the tops of =
the stems.

    Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
