Hi All,
The last week of recording the flight calls of nocturnal migrants over
Carleteon, Yarmouth County, was the period of November 16-22. A total of 8
flight calls, representing 8 separate birds were recorded. White-throated
Sparrows accounted for 7 of the calls and the other was from an American
Tree Sparrow. A summary table is below. Graphs and tables summarizing the
entire autumn migration at this location can be found at:
http://www.johnfkearney.com/Carleton_YarmouthCounty_2015.html. Compared to
other sites, the Carleton monitoring station had a high proportion of
warblers and low proportions of sparrows and thrushes.
