Bernard Forsythe saw a mid-size Shorebird today that he was not able
to ID, despite reasonably good views. From his description to me, as I
understood it, I would be thinking Ruff with a lesser possibility of
Red Knot. I made a quick trip down with 30 minutes of adequate
daylight for good viewing. I did not see it. It forages partly on the
shore and partly up in the grass with the ducks. So it may have walked
over the dyke into the rear lagoon.
