I showed the photo to a carpenter friend here in ARizona. He is originally f=
rom Missouri where he had a sawmill. He immediately commented "Powderpost B=
eetles." I just looked that up and see that the name is given to a group of=
about 70 species of beetles in the subfamily Lyctinae. =20
