--001a1143d312c4bd30052c66827d Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 While out for a run this evening (Feb 22 2016), ~1730 PM, I heard a repetitive peeping sound near a farm on Highway 362, just south of where the road changes to Gate's Mountain Road, Middleton, Annapolis County. I stopped for a minute, the sound and habitat looked good for spring peepers. I include the question mark, simply because the sound seemed too regular, maybe piece of debris rubbing on another in the wind that just happened to sound remarkably like a peeper. Later in the evening, I swung by the same area after picking up a friend from work ~ 1820. The wind was still blowing, but couldn't hear the sound anymore. Might be worthwhile to keep your ears open while out walking, especially if this weeks forecast holds true. Has anyone encountered calling-peepers in 2016?
