Hi All,

The steady stream of low pressure systems passing through the northeastern
US and the Maritimes this week seems to have blocked the flow of land bird
migrants. There was no visible migration on the New England radars this
week. The radars in the southeastern US were lighted up last night with what
appeared to be a heavy migration that stopped just south of Virginia with
the band of rain that is heading our way for tonight and tomorrow. The
acoustic monitoring station in Carleton, Yarmouth County, was quiet except
for 2-4 Dark-eyed Juncos on the evening of April 8th. Birds reported on
eBird show lower abundance this week for Song Sparrow and Dark-eyed Junco.
Yellow-rumped Warblers are up slightly.

John
