the last year they have finally started to distribute tickets to off-leash=

n please note:<br></div><div><br>The new boardwalk at Conrad Beach in Lawre=
ncetown is complete and accessible now. They did a really good job of=
it and it looks robust enough that no puny hurricane will knock this one o=
ver!<br><br></div>Unfortunately, the dogs off leash are still a significant=
problem on this beach. This morning there were no fewer that 6 runni=
ng loose at the same time. While four of the dogs where generally beh=
aving and staying close to their two handlers, the other two dogs where tot=
ally out of control by their handler. One jumped me by surprise from =
the side and then the other one jumped me at shoulder height from behind an=
d almost knocked me off my feet - handler says sorry but did not leash the =
dog when requested! If I had been frail or a child, there was signifi=
cant potential for injury. <br><br>If the off leash dogs cannot=
be controlled on this beach, I would suggest that the Piping Plover inform=
ation sign might as well be removed as I do not believe any piping plover c=
ould survive the constant onslaught of off leash dogs, especially those tha=
t cannot be controlled by their handler, like happened this morning.<br><br=
